starting to dive into this NM 1911... it's got a Wilson full length guide rod. (hope I'm calling the right name)

which I'm assuming gives it more accuracy. but it makes it harder to take apart and put back together. my hands are raw from taking it apart and putting back together for hours last night.

did a quick and dirty cleaning, then lubed with moly grease. will later completely disassemble down to every spring & small part, degrease with simple green, douse with break-free. then inspect for signs of any trouble.

all sorts of places can be improved. trigger job is planned, along with smoothing out every contact point.

many thanks... this is the type feedback I need.

what's the best source for parts and what do I need to ask for?
