Mcdonalds two days ago for four - $48.00

I don't blame the restaurants entirely, prices and labor is going through the roof (Thanks Biden) but I sure don't want to mortgage the house to buy my girls some nuggets!

The liberals say Biden or any president has nothing todo with fuel, grocery, hard good prices. Any fool knows if you stop drilling for oil in the US prices are going up with the cost and transport of foreign oil and it causes a ripple effect throughout the economy on many goods.

And regulations that simply raise prices further. "Hmm, let's make companies file 60 new forms every month for the fun of it"....Ok, now they need to hire a specialist in government forms. Where do they get the money to pay for that? Sales.

We went to lunch today somewhere we haven't been for a while, and at a new location we hadn't been to before. Jason's Deli in Bixby. We always enjoyed the 1/2 sandwich (ruben) and side salad, because the salad bar is always great, and the corned beef on the ruben is always stacked high. We usually don't get sodas, but we did today. $39.80! It was good, but not that good. Eating at home again... Makes us appreciate our other places we like, and can get out the door for much less.

So right. Wife and I went to Schlotzskys recently as we love the original. 2 sandwiches 2 chips 2 drinks. Bill was 36$ plus.
You take this old horse to a dry waterhole just once.

We've really cut back on eating out. I have to imagine there will be a LOT of restaurants going out of business over the next couple of years. We do NOT have a good economy, no matter how much the Democrats claim we do.

My mom popped in on me this morning wanting to go out for breakfast

I can only handle going out in small doses but she has lost her ability (or the give a hoot) to cook for herself --- rather than suffer through a diner breakfast i offered to make her an omelette from scratch and she took me up on it - she's now 81 y/o and i dont like to miss out on opportunities to spend some time with her so i improvised

I'll go out for an occasional cocktail and an appetizer or something but dealing with inattentive wait staff nowadays plus weird phobias i have about things like sticky menus, wet tables and salt/pepper shakers with a barely noticeable thin layer of crust on them make me want to stay home
