I just got some 9mm from J&K on Sunday and I was so pumped to load some. While switching my 550 over to 9mm when I hear something hit the deck. Looked down and saw that some part of the powder assembly had broken off. I attempted to attempt to fix it, but it was beyond a simple repair. The guy who answered the phone at Dillon was cool. I bet he reloads. Our conversation lasted about 5 minutes. Shipped the assembly off this morning. I hope it goes well.

Parts falling off a reloading press? That's not good.

Try this solution: get a Lee Classic Turret.

I mean no offense, but I've loaded on a Lee Classic Turret as well as a Dillon Square Deal B, Dillon 550 and a Dillon 650. Replacing a Dillon of ANY kind with a Lee Classic Turret is like trading a Porsche for a Volkswagen because a lugnut loosened up on the Porsche.

I don't want to offend, either. I keep checking the floor around my Lee Classic Turret. Still haven't found any parts that fell off...

Regarding the car comparison: it wasn't just a loose lugnut on the Porsche...the whole dang wheel fell off.

Dillon has been good to me. I've broken parts by accident and told them straight up that it was my fault and they told me, "no problem, we'll send you another one".

However, they don't replace primer pins. I got a lee universal decapper to take care of that.

They also don't carry the "No BS" warranty on the 1050. They consider that to be a commercial machine.
