WOW so the mud slinging has really began. Im sure that many of you have seen the psas that fx has been running on american horror story and sons of anarchy... and directv has responded with putting up its own channels pointing the finger back at fox. basicly the contract is up that allows DTV to carry FX, National Geographic Channel, Speed Channel, Fox Soccer Channel, Fox Soccer Plus, Fox Movie Channel, Fox Deportes, FuelTV, as well as 13 regional sports networks (okc included) fox is saying that directv does not want to give into negotiations that will allow them to carry the channels while a final price is determined. DTV is stating that fox is wanting 40% increase and they just are not paying it. it gets deeper than that here is the link for dtv arguements, could not find the link for News corp, but im sure its a simple google search away. www.ourpromisetoyou.com I work for Directv and I am hating this already and we havent even droped the channels yet. fingers are being pointed lines are being drawn, and the customers are just being refered to and bounced back and forth between the two companys. at this point its not going to get resolved by the first so the channels will go bye-bye hopefully to return soon. its going to cause issues for both companys as dtv will loose customers, and the more customers that tie up our phones bitching costs us more and more money, then News Corp will loose money from marketing and advertising so it comes down to who you the customer call in and ***** to to determine who caves first and gives into the other. or it may end up like G-4 channel to just never return again.

Got phone numbers for us to call. I work 12 hours a day, but maybe I can get some of those people on Occupy Wall Street or some of the locals on unemployment (currently local papers have 2-3 pages of help wanted ads) to call and complain.

Usually you can get some free channels out of the deal. Going to swing for the fences and try to get some free Sunday Ticket out of this one. Will take HBO as a consolation prize. I'm not that upset unless the NBA season starts and I have no FoxSports to watch the Thunder games on. Then I'll be pissed off.

You're gonna be too busy changin' diapers to watch a Thunder game mister.....

Pay TV is going to get the same rude awakening as the music industry if they keep pricing themselves out of the game.

You're right...just look at Netflix express elevator down. Same with pay radio. I cancelled my Sirius contract this week...to many stupid repetitive commercials and profanity for too much $$.

(Granted I don't mind profanity, but when my kid is on the dial trying to get the disney channel and he runs the risk of landing on a channel where some chick is talking about stuffing peanut butter up her a$$, we have a problem)
