Cool color pictures from 1939-1943. Gives you an idea of how things were near the start of WWII in the U.S.

Kodachrome was one helluva beautiful film stock. It's a shame they discontinued it.

That can't be reposted enough, man. Everytime I stumble across it on the net I look at every photo again.

Amazing stuff. Hard to pick a favorite, but these really stand out to me. I mean all of them are amazing, but these are just about as perfect as a photo can be.

very cool, thanks for sharing. Reminds me of the large photo taken during the land run at the cowboy hall of fame(or what ever it is called now). My grandmother would take us there in the summer and point out our family in the photo as they rushed to stake claim.

I can remember drinking peach, strawberry, and grape Nehi as kid in the early 70's. So sweet it would almost make you sick, always came back for more though.

Those are some cool pictures. What is it people say about black and white photos they're supposed to be better. I've seen black and white photos like these many times, but wow, these color photos just brings them to life and I get a whole other sense of something going on there. Amazing and I don't even really know why.
