Give this article a good read. IMHO, almost everyone should be able to understand it:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/08/29/where-did-the-antiwar-movement-go/
How Obama demobilized the antiwar movement
By Brad Plumer, Published: August 29 at 11:03 am

..."The antiwar movement should have been furious at Obama’s ‘betrayal’ and reinvigorated its protest activity. Instead, attendance at antiwar rallies declined precipitously and financial resources available to the movement dissipated.”...

TWO INTERESTING GRAPHS FROM THE ARTICLE:

Order of Magnitude National/Nationally Coordinated Anti-War Protests, 2007-2009

Partisans Composition of Anti-War Protests, 2007-2009

Is war a sporting event in which we blindly root for a preferred political team?

What Happened to the Anti-War Movement?
The short answer: partisanship.
BY David Sirota

..."Democratic Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton said a war resolution will pass not because of the supposed merits of an attack on Syria, but simply “because of loyalty of Democrats” who “just don't want to see (Obama) shamed and humiliated on the national stage.”..."It suggests that the party affiliation of a particular president should determine whether or not we want that president to kill other human beings."...

If the anti-war protests against Obama ever reach the shrill crescendo in the lib MSM and in Washington DC that it reached during former Republican President's administrations, THEN I WILL BELIEVE THAT THE ANTI-WAR AGENDA OF THE LEFT IS NOT PARTISAN.

It should not surprise anyone that the Washington Post or the Los Angeles Times are paying no attention to the anti-war left. AGAIN. It's about the time frame. Look at the attention the anti-war left got in 2003, and the attention they're getting in 2013.

There will always be more opposition to a war that does exist, than there will be to a war that doesn't [yet] exist.

How soon we forget all the screaming and crying from the left from before the invasion of Iraq.
