I dunno about you guys but I get real nervous when folks try and ride up my butt like that. Tends to make me slow way down ... it's hard to watch traffic and stare into the rearview mirror ...

I....

I tend to lock up my brakes. I'm not sure why, but there always seems to be small animals running out in front of me the second someone tailgates me. With that said, I never go more than 5mph over the speed limit and I never hang out in the left lane without reason.

OK..I get you dont like cops...he was doing 70...youd probably gipe if he was going faster by saying"typical cop driving too fast".

70 is the new 50, didn't you know? It's worth your life to go the speed limit in the left lane, as I have learned several times recently.

I always just get out of the way of the assholes who are tailgaiting me as soon as there is a place to go. Inside I am thinking, "please don't escalate this to the point where I have to kill you." I have become much more polite and submissive in traffic since I started carrying a weapon. I used to be a highly skilled "bumper tag" player. Didn't value my life very much at the time, and got off on the adrenalin rush. Now, I just try to stay out of the way and hope an LEO happens to be in the right place.

If the idiot appears to be in excess of 100, I do call *55, and on a couple of occasions on 44 have been rewarded by seeing the offender stopped by the OHP.

Well cut that out. You are risking your life to teach a lesson to someone who won't learn anyway.

You can't kill all the skunks, and if you try, you'll eventually get sprayed.

Your approach could get someone killed for nothing. Not worth it.

I agree, break checking, especially as an armed citizen, is just as dumb as tailgating. I don't break check...but I don't risk my own safety or progress to get out of the way of some idiot who wants to climb onto my bumper either. They can settle down and wait until it's safe/convenient for me to get over.

The guy filming was just as much of a d$ck as the cop was. He was following far to close long before the cop pulled his trick.

I dont understand why everyone is driving in the passing lane in the first place.

I have a 5 mile stretch I drive both ways to work, clearly marked "Slower Traffic Keep Right" signs, but every day, both ways, you have those people that are clueless.

It used to really get to me until I realized that it was going to be this way every single day. Now I get around them when I can, keep peace with myself.

But, that day when they tell me I got 2 weeks to live, watch out! You goin in the ditch son, and I hope I break your damn cell phone too!

I picked up the "light flash" when I was overseas too...but the key with that was it was a friendly and safe request/warning well in advance of overtaking someone.

These days folks just weave into the lane, climb onto your trunk and expect you to yield which, since I'm an a##hole, usually has the opposite effect.

I usually try to remain aware of traffic behind me. If someone - weaving or not - is going faster than me, I'll generally try to clear out of the fast lane.
