Conservatives don't trust government to handle something like healthcare or retirement plans, but they're competent enough to kill U.S. citizens? You intellectually lazy, hypocritical, morally depraved people are disgusting.

Yeah. You really support limited government. Wanna get into the financial aspect of capital punishment? Idiots.

I dont disagree Mr. RidgeHunter. Perhaps hanging, electrocution, or beheading would be more humane. In my opinion the major problem with the death penalty is its inconsistent application rather than the method.

If you consider yourself a Christian and support this, you baffle me. I grew up Methodist, and for those of you who aren't aware of what a Methodist believes on the subject, I'll summarize. See, the Methodist church believes that it's not very Christlike to torture people to death.

Not a Christian, not bothered by scum getting their just desserts. He did a horrible crime and deserved to die. Sure the road was a bit bumpy but he reached the same end.

I believe in the sanctity of life, but he didn't when he decided to kill that young lady. As much as I would like to feel sorry for him, it just isn't there.

Ridge, the government didn't kill him. He committed murder, confessed to it, was convicted of it by a jury of his peers, and sentenced by the judge. He made the decision to kill himself!

You bloodthirsty sons of whores.

Even if you believe in the State's authority to kill people, surely basic humanity demands you do so decently.

We shame those who hunt animals and kill inhumanely, but cheer when the State tortures?

I hope you get the chance to face yourselves someday.

The jury of his peers should pay for it and put the fukcing needle in his arm, then. And watch.

That's pretty much how I feel. We want to deny government lesser powers but have no problem granting it the ultimate power? No thanks.

I'm down with banishment instead. No life, no prison, just banishment...somewhere, anywhere, but you shall be stripped of your citizenship and removed from our shores.

None of that means I will shed a single tear for the guy though...
