Replacing 4” barrel with a 2” barrel on a revolver?

It’s a Rock Island Arsenal M200 never fired and I am curious about putting a M206 barrel on it.

I have switched barrels on other platforms but I am not a revolver person.

I would not but then I prefer a longer barrel.

It can be done, but on that gun is it worth the cost compared to buying the same gun in 2"? The labor cost is probably going to be the same as if it were a S&W or Colt.

It will be close, I haven’t bought the barrel yet and from the pictures it certainly looks like it will be doable.

I’m obviously bored enough to try this, lol.

Go for it if you can switch it once you can do it again if not take it to SPD he will fix it

If the ejector rod was too long it wouldn't fit in the barrel shroud. The cylinder couldn't be closed.
