Due to my soon to be ex-wife's issues adhering to marriage vows I need to move my safe. It's a liberty fat boy 64. The safe is bolted to the floor in my shop, and I cannot get the bolts out. Broke a 1/2 inch socket on a large cheater trying the other day. Imapct also had no effect.
When I installed it I used the zinc lag sinkers set into the concrete with the epoxy the guy at Lowe's recommended. These suckers won't budge. Short of a torch or tannerite I'm not sure what to try now. I'd rather not destroy the safe, or leave it behind. I can't fit a sawzall blade under it, and if I could I'm not sure if I can find one long enough. I even considered cutting out the floor and just beating the slab off the bottom later, but I'm guessing that might cause problems...
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Are the bolt heads recessed? Could you get a grinder in there and cut the heads off the bolt? Then shim the safe up and over the rest of the bolt?

They are recessed into the fireboard stuff it's lined with, but I might be able to remove it. Probably can buy some to replace it from bear safe in OKC. Thanks for the idea!

It’s a half inch socket as in a 5/16” diameter stud? Get a impact socket and a long cheater, like 6 foot and just break the stud. Use a 6 point impact socket, not a 12 point, that would probably strip the nut.

If the impact socket and break over with cheater doesn't do the trick, or the bolt head is stripped, drill it out. Center punch the center of bolt head, or use a small bit to start. Then use a bolt the size of the bolt shank and drill slowly so you don't get it hot and harden the bolt. Use a shop vac to clean up the cuttings and no harm to safe. You may have to remove the shelving to get the room needed as you want to be straight over the top of the bolts. Head lamp will help with lighting.
