Nope, everyone in the purchase can legally own a firearm.
Yes, he can legally own a firearm.
I mean, if you REALLY stretched it, I guess you could argue something against it, but I just couldn't find anything in the laws that would make it seem that it is not legal. I'm glad others opinions...
So I have an odd question. I know buying as a gift is legal, but does the source of the money to buy as a gift matter?
My situation is this: It is my Father's birthday coming up and we were talking about what we wanted to get him, and we decided a new .22 might not be a bad option, since...
They aren't too cheap anymore, but my old man's Ruger Single Six has been one of my favorites for a long time.
Now if I could just swindle it out of him, along with that New England .410, which is another cheapie, but I love it too.
I've been reading a lot more, and doing some research. I think i'm starting to figure out what I actually want.
About the only thing I have picked out so far is a Spike's Tactical Stripped Lower. Not too sure beyond that, I keep looking at BCM, but they are going to throw my price a bit high...
Just my two cents, as i've never shot the Savage, but I LOVE my 10/22.
I had a bit of a jamming issue at one point, but I just had to file down the feeder ramp a tiny bit as it had a burr on it.
That is one of the big things I think I will miss on it, not that I will really need it, but hey, you never know.
I think I'm going to build now, I stayed up too late last night looking at stuff on the internet, and it seems that I can get what I want for a really good price if I build it...
I believe Henry makes a pump .22, but there is also the Winchester Model 62, I think those Winchester's are getting kind of rare these days.
Here is a link to the Henry:

I can't find much on the Model 62 though.
I saw the Lite, and I liked it better than the sportical, due to the added features, and basically the same price.
I've been perusing the M&A website since whenever I made that last post. Now I think I'm going to build, or "assemble" from one of their kits. Seems like I can get exactly what I...
Thanks Daryl!
Sabot mentioned building too, but it seems like the last time I looked into building one I just stared blankly at the monitor for a good hour or two.
I will look more into that though, as well as Del-Ton and that Spikes Tactical rifle.
I'm interested in this M4 style, any idea what the Make is on it? I want something with a flat top or a removable carry handle, want to be able to put that scope on there. :P
That was some of my logic. If I buy this, i'd have more money left over to for sights/accessories, but if it is a bad foundation to build on, then it makes me a little apprehensive.
the DPMS Sportical?
I'm looking to get my first AR within the upcoming months, and I've been looking around and I keep looking at the Sportical. Is it worth it? It's awfully cheap, and i'm wondering if that price is going to hurt me that much. I'm not looking to do a whole lot with it, would it...
I will make sure I avoid that like the plague then. So ready to get out and shoot! I expect it will be a good stress reliever from all this studying for the exam to get into Grad school!
Think I may check out Happy Hollow this weekend.
I will head out there sometime soon then, heck, maybe tomorrow too. I've only shot a single clip through my XD, wanting to get out and get some good lead down range badly!
Does Happy Hollow have a plinking range? Wouldn't mind breaking out the 10/22, or the little .22 revolver I have.
I'm kind of with Mr Ed here.
The law is so gray, I don't care to push my luck with it. I have nothing on my criminal record, and intend to keep it that way, don't need a little hiccup because of gray laws.
Though I have never noticed a "No Shooting" sign at this particular place, it...
Hi guys, and gals!
New around these parts. Just recently got back into shooting, and now I'm addicted again. I'm currently in Tulsa, about to move back to Stillwater to work on my Master's in Telecom.
Just purchased my first pistol (Well, first pistol I can call mine that isn't one of my...
If you're familiar with the area, then it's off the old highway that runs along the south side of river between Sand Springs and the Keystone Dam.
If you're not familiar with the area, I have no clue what the road is called. But, basically, you drive like you are going to "Swift Park" and...
Thanks for the info!
The land I'm talking about borders the Arkansas River out by Keystone Lake (If you're not familiar with the area, it's West of Tulsa).
I forgot all about Happy Hollow, I've only been there once though. I may give them a call and go check it out again.
I kind of had 2 questions.
First: Anyone know the laws of shooting on public land? I've been trying to get some information on it, but I can't seem to find any. I know of people who shoot on public land, but it seems sketchy to me. Not to mention other, let's say less than desirable gun...
