[QUOTE="magna19, post: 2459814, member: 24646"] Ive got a question on accuracy. Just bought my first 10/22 (new deluxe stainless) couple months ago. It now has a KIDD 2-stage trigger, the action is NOT bedded, the barrel is floated to about 1.5" from action. At 50 yds. it shoots CCI Stingers, CCI SGB, and a couple others in the 1"to 1.50" range. A lot of ammo (CCI Select, Match type, etc) that generally shoots far from a couple bolt guns goes 2.0 or worse in the 10/22. So far the ammo that shoots OK are ones that measure long like stingers, etc. From what ive read the stock 10/22 chamber is cut to .775. The ammo that shoots OK also measure the closest to the .775. My question is can the breech face on 10/22 barrel be taken down (without cutting new chamber) say .010 .015 .020 or so and be able to shoot some match type ammo more accurate without having any problems.
