Good to know, I had been considering some. What material are the bases on the Black Aces rounds made of? Do you know if it's magnetic? Their 00 rounds appear to be steel, so I was wondering.
The case head strongly sticks to a magnet, but it appears to either be very high polished or nickel coated. Slug is non magnetic of course. The case head is stamped “clever mirage”

Bummer, can't use them at Wilshire. I have gobs of 00, but not a huge amount of slug ammo and am looking for more. Has to be fairly high velocity, as I don't want to adjust my gas system for them (KUSA KS-12). S&B don't always fire on first shot, so they are out.

*note* the muzzle energy listed for the mini shell is incorrect. It is actually 1,339 foot pounds of energy. I originally wrote it down as a 5/8 ounce slug, but it is actually a 7/8 ounce. My mistake

The Sterling “Palla” ones weren’t bad accuracy wise and were also quite cheap by comparison. Not sure on their head material off hand

The tornado ones were wild. You could actually watch them “zigzag” through the air when I shot to 150yds for fun. A lot hit sideways at 25yds. I was in the same boat, wanted a bunch I could snag cheap, but unfortunately, these are not the ticket haha.

Have you tested Venom by chance? They are in the same price range as the Sterling Tornado ones, at the moment.
Just magnet checked the ones I have. The only HHr as that didn’t strongly draw a magnet was the federal. The others are all either brass or nickel coated steel

I haven’t tried any of those. Hadn’t heard of them to be honest.

It's another Turkish brand. Pre pandemic my goto was Wolf, but with the import ban they are hard to find or expensive. Only problem with the Wolf was the smell, they had a strong Sulphur smell to the burnt powder. Not a problem outdoors, but indoor ranges it stunk.
