14.5" M4gery Build

Put together a 14.5" M4gery for a buddy this morning. He was one of my former co-workers who is now headed for an agency down near Houston. They allow personal owned rifles for duty use so he decided he needed one and asked me to help him put it together.

Here's the specs:

Upper:
14.5" BCM Upper
1/7 twist, Chrome lined
Permanently attached A2X FH (bringing barrel to 16")
BCM FA BCG
BCM C/H
Magpul MOE HG's with 2" rail for a light
Magpul MBUS Rear

Lower:
DPMS Stripped Lower
M&A LPK
Rock River 2 stage National Match Trigger
H buffer
Magpul MIAD
Magpul ASAP Plate
Magpul CTR Stock

Very nice basic carbine! All he need is an Aimpoint and a sling and he's GTG!

He's got the Magpul MS2 sling but you can't really see it in the picture. He's holding off on the Aimpoint for a couple weeks because he didn't want to drop all that coin in one shot.

Soon it will be complete.

does he have a stamp for it? if it's 14.5" and it's his personal rifle, doesn't it require a stamp? even if it's for duty?

The upper is 14.5 but it would be 16 or greater with the PERMANTLY pinned flash suppresor, so no stamp required.

Yes, it would require a stamp.

It comes from BCM with a permanently attached A2X FH, which brings the OAL to 16".

So it's legal without a stamp.

I understand that, I had one. But Ares said it was 14.5" so I was wondering.
ETA: Ares beat me to it, so it's pinned. cool. it's nice.

I wish my company allowed me to use mine, but then again, I do tech support.
