16 gauge and Long John Silvers

I knew there was a secret sect of people keeping Long Johns Silvers alive(my wife is one of them hahaha) but I overheard some older gentlemen this weekend talking about the 16 gauge and how they favored it. Now there is confirmation that there is indeed another secretive sect of people among us keeping the 16 gauge on life support. Hats off to you fellas for taking up the fight not many of us are willing to.

For dove, quail, pheasant, chucker etc…it’s absolutely my go to gauge. I have three, well come to think of it my daughter needed my Remington Sportsman 58 more than I did and it’s currently living with her. Only two I have right now are a Winchester Model 12 made in 1937 (third from the left in the lineup) and a T&S German combo gun from 1891. Always keeping my eyes peeled for Another Remington or anything else for that matter in 16 or 28 gauges.
