This is a video of the posse shoot at Ambush at Cavern Cove a few years ago. Each posse had a piece of plywood to cut in two with shotguns. There are 5 more posses lined up to the right of the video, 168 shooters in all. I was really surprised how quick we did it. I'm the second person in the line, in the white shirt. I got off two shots with my 16 gauge SXS, and while reloading the plywood was split. Posse 2 beat us by a second or so, and no one really knows who won.
Turn your volume WAY UP, and enjoy.

Ah, the wild west; I remember stories that my great-great grandpa told me about the one day Plywood Joe,

who stood 4'x8' tall,
the fastest 7-ply engineered wood product in the West,
gave John Wesley Hardin a splinter in the back of the head.

Great! I was thinking of how my grandfather might have reacted to this event. He was a Chisolm Trail cowboy from age 12 to 14, and later became a subcontractor for the Texas Rangers. Needless to say, he was ancient when I was born, and I only overlapped his life by about five years. Wish I could have known him longer.

But, this sort of event celebrates what was, and he might have appreciated that. CB

Kinda demonstrates the power of shotguns doesn't it? And these are all lightly loaded birdshot loads, not high power stuff. Each shot would cut about a 4 inch hole through the plywood.
