Caught me a 7#+ out of Lake Fork.

I imagine that this big sow died because many people are more concerned with showing off the fish than what degree of stress the fish is under. The fish subsequently dies, such a waste.

That and a live shad on a spawning bed is a magnet for these sows; many times leaving a hook in the gullet only to die. Around the same time I was at Fork an 18-20lber was found floating dead in the water. Think it (or a mock) is hanging now in a local tackle shop down there.

I was in Mexico fishing in 2001 and got a closeup look at a 18lb bass a guy from Nebraska caught. HUGE !!

I remember the first 6lb bass i seen..I thought that was huge

i use to fish fork with my uncle. my biggest was 8lbs but he caught a 13 lbs and i thought that was huge
