I’ve got one chambered in 30-06, it’s an old national ordinance surplus rifle, someone threw a nice stock on it and I threw a Burris 6-24, made a nice rifle
The article linked above was printed in March 0f 2012. These days the milsurp crowd would loudly bemoan the destruction of such a valuable historic relic.
Those being built were built on decommissioned rifles.
So not really hurting anything in my mind.
I was wondering how an 18" barreled 30-06 would act as I have a couple 22" 30-06 Mossbergs and thought of cutting one of the barrels shorter.
Just for accuracy purposes less whip and larger accuracy node.
Works with the .308's I have cut and the 6.5 creedmoor I cut shorter.
So not really hurting anything in my mind.
