The 1908s are fun little guns. A buddy has one that he inherited from his grandfather and I've run a few rounds through it. As others have said, the "standard" ammo will be just fine in it. The standard would be the Remington stuff you can buy at Walmart or Bass Pro, etc. There is a new breed of .32acp pistols on the market and most likely the various ammo companies have hot rounds for them.

A note on the "standard" ammo types: The various ammo manufacturers realize that there are many antique guns still in use so they load light so as to not overstress these guns. A good rule of thumb is never run any type of super turbo ninja type ammo in old guns. If you think it is too hot for an old gun, it probably is.

On your 1908, there isn't much you could do to "upgrade" it but they are great as is.
