1911 - Which brand/model is the best for the money?

I think you need an M&P , or an XDM which would definitely be within your means, maybe even a Glock (no disrespect meant here Glocktogo), and give you some dough left over to buy ammo to improve your shooting skills. </p><p>So, lets wind this up here by returning the compliment:</p><p> "Well Jayd, your opinion doesn't have to mean jack to me" since I can build a $3800.00 1911 that will perform admirably, the way it was designed too, at cost.. I am not some "bean counter " at the factory that is reducing quality to save costs. For example, Kimber probably has all of $60-70 in materials for their MIM parts in their pistols excluding frame and slide. Now, lets get serious here...There are times in peoples lives when they have to be on a budget whether by choice or necessity. If I was trying to shame you or knock what's left of your "Dick" in the dirt I would have suggested a Wilson Combat or Nighthawk for $3000. If you were thin skinned or thought I was trying to embarrass you you should have PM'd me directly and I would have been more than willing to explain my position either privately or publicly to correct any misconception!... </p><p> I think I'll quit here since I don't have to lower the level and get in the gutter with you, but you need to think before you open your mouth and insert your foot.</p><p></p><p>Barry</p></blockquote><p></p>
