1967 Mint A5 Browning 12 Guage

I have an A5 Browning that I bought in 1972. A friend of mine has an A5 in mint condition that has a serial number of 7G2XXX. He wants $900 and I think that's a pretty good price. He says that it's a 1967 model but it's hard to tell from the Browning site. Does anyone have an idea as to what the gun is worth and if the gun dates to 1967?

I know with Remington you can call and they can identify a gun based on a serial number - I'm sure Browning can do the same - I'd call them first to get the year and everything - then go from there

$900 seems a little steep to me. I think on this board a very nice A5 would bring closer to $650-$700 tops.
