Years ago in the Eufaula area loading some flagstone into my van we called in a huge buck by making all the racket of banging and clunking the rocks together.
It was me and my son and another friend.
This was during deer gun season on a buddies land.
2 days later my son was watching some deer crossing a pipeline 800+ yards away.
they would cross one way and then 100 yards or more closer to him cross the other way.. zig zag back and forth working their way up towards him.
At 300 to 400 yards they quit. and went into the woods and did not come out.
He thought about the clacking of rocks bringing in that buck.
He reached down and picked up 2 rocks and began clacking them together and luck has it a stupid deer came out about 100 yards down the pipe line.
He got his first deer!

yep just a small bit bored, sitting at home trying to get a twisted knee better so I can get in the deer stand on saturday.
