Steel CASE ammo is fine.. No Steel-core, armor-piercing, incendiary or tracer rounds.

From the soon-to-be-published official rules:

Rifle ammunition containing any type of steel core or steel penetrator shall NOT be used during the match. Rifle ammunition may be checked at any time during the duration of the match by any match official.

Ammunition containing tracer, incendiary, armor piercing, steel jacketed or steel/tungsten/penetrator core projectiles is grounds for immediate disqualification with no return of entry fee or award of prize money.

The above sentence applies to the projectile not the case.

-and since Im here, heat-ar, the 62gr green tip has steel core, so it wouldnt be good.

That is correct. Green-tip IS steel core and prohibited.

This 2 gun looks like a better deal for a novice shooter to get into some shooting competition. Compare to 3 gun you have one less gun and one less kind of ammo you have to buy in bulk if you want to practice for it.
