I'll make this short. I have decided I need a project again, therefore it's going to be a bike this time. I'm too elderly (lol) for another crotch rocket and although I can appreciate a nicely done custom or Harley, I have an itch to build a Café Racer. Went over Craigslist with a fine tooth comb, but the pickings for a suitable donor are slim. So if any of you are aware of anyone who has a Honda CB 350, CB 750 or better yet an older Triumph or Norton speak up. I have cash, and of course, always things to trade that go bang. The nicer the bike the higher end my trade material, kimber, HK, GAP etc...

Help a fellow OSA'er locate his next project bike.
Thanks in advance,
J

I wanted to do this as well, keep looking they are out there! Came across 2 cb550s for 200 but they were without title or tag. He told me you could prob make one out of the both of them. check out the kawisakis, there's a lot of cafe racers built out of them as well. Saw some kz650s and the like when I was looking for a bike.

Check bikeexif.com for lots of motivation and ideas with all kinds of donor bikes, very cafe and oldschool vibe to most everything on there.

I rode a 1976 CB750 for a bit. With a fresh rebuild on the carbs it had decent power and a very nice 5 speed transmission. I wanted to cafe it but I decided I'd rather have something like a bandit. When I sold it people were amazed that it had a current tag and green title.
