[QUOTE="Okie4570, post: 2733672, member: 15643"] A little black powder redemption this evening. Same birds and same tree as Monday, just 90 minutes earlier. Sit down and called a little with no response. No wind, buffalo gnats plentiful. Two semis met each other on the road and blasted a horn, and gobbling immediately to my right. Hit the slate again and they gobbled every 10 seconds for the next five minutes until trigger time. Once they came up out of the creek into the wheat, they spotted the decoy, fanned and here they came. All three stopped at 10y, and I waited for them to separate and boom! Dropped like hit with the hammer of Thor this time. 22lbs, 9.5" beard, 7/8" spurs. Be after them with my daughter behind the trigger in the morning.
