Got a linky? I have a young friend that I’ve mentored into the hunting world. He’s shot a couple nice deer so far. He began hunting ducks with a friend of his. I found out he hunted public land YESTERDAY and have told him to pay closer attention to the regs.
I’d like him to read the article.

It's on the GW FB page.

I’m just really glad I checked the regs. Cuz I was about 12hrs from winding up on the GW FB page. Theres a soybean/wheat field with some flooded terraces we’ve been deer hunting on that is just filthy with every migrator.

I’m developing an understanding of your distaste for them. But over a holiday when people traditionally gather and hunt? They can pound sand. That’s garbage.
It's always been closed over Thanksgiving for as long as i can remember. Christmas on the other hand, we've killed lots and lots of Christmas morning birds.

I actually didn’t remember that, and since the statute of limitations has probably run out, I’m almost positive we used to jump ponds when we came up for Thanksgiving in the 70’s and 80’s.

Maybe I’m remembering the Christmas trip…
