That same store had about 20 boxes of the plain Winchester 223 FMJ (brass) yesterday about noonish. It was $11.76 a box if memory serves.

I bought the Fed 525 packs Sat at Atwoods for $16.99. I remember the 550's at WM for $8. Doesn't seem that long ago but prolly was. Is 22LR to be banned or is it just caught up in the panic buying frenzy?
I doubt .22 will make any ban list but it is a versital load and sought after by everyone from young boys to preppers.
I know several guys whos preps include 10,000 rounds of it. Think about it - you can carry that in a backpack, try that with 5.56 or 7.62 or about any other load.

Atwoods has lots of .22 at the moment.
Seems like it was $3 cheaper about a year ago.
