Anybody got any 243 loads they want to share? You don't have to go out on a limb and be specific, but favorite powder, bullet maker, type and weight, etc would be appreciated. Looking mostly for accuracy at 100-300 yards. Also, if you please, which store-bought stuff do you have the best luck with?

I shoot more milsurp loads than anything else, but here is one of my go to loads in my Savage model 10 243 70 grain Sierra Hodgdon H-322 33.8 gr. for 3100fps This is safe in my particular rifle, but you should double and tripple check load data from other sources before using it. Blitzfike

I like the 87gr Vmax
Varget I think that weighed 37.3 or 37.8 and IMR4064 @37.1gr work well for me.
Lapua brass 210M primers.

Still playing with the loads but you seen my 300 yard paper.. those loads were measured by volume but averaged the above numbers.
Not a fast load either.. 70 degree day they were 3050fps i think it was.
I will be shooting it more and trying IMR4350

I currently use 40 grains of W760 with R-P 100 grain bullet. I also have a 6mm and it likes the 87 grain Hornady with IMR 4350.

You just can't go too far wrong loading any medium burn rate powder in .243. IMR 4064 is a good bet also.

Good Luck!

85 gr. Nosler Partitions with 4350 is my go to deer load. Load a few 70gr. Nosler ballistic tips with 4350 for paper and PD's when I get a chance. Most 243's are fairly easy to load for. Had a Ruger that liked 70 to 85gr better than 100's. Remington 788 will shoot about anything I put in it. My Remington 700 likes the 85gr partition. My favorite powder is 4350, but I have used H-414, and 4831 with good results.

Sierra 80 Grain Spitzer Boat Tail with IMR 4064, believe 37 grains. It is my father-in-law's load, that we are now using in 6 different guns with good results. I will work up a 100 grain load sometime, but haven't yet.
