What do y’all think of it?
How far do y’all shoot with it?
What is the tightest groups on paper at 100yards you have been able to achieve?
Some say the rifles made after 2010(?) without the JM stamp are worthless? Why is that?
Scope or no scope?
For me I love it! It was the first gun I fell in love with. My grandpas 30wcf. I’ve shot out to 200yards at steal. Still working on some promising loads. Maybe an inch or under at 100 yards. This possible?
Mine is 2006 model marlin. Scopes with a vortex copperhead.
Some say it’s a worthless brush gun, I just say they have never taken the time to see what one could achieve from it.

I own 4 Marlin 30-30’s, and the one I’ve “tweaked” will shoot itty bitty groups at 100 yards. I’ve killed pigs with it out to 200 yards, and I shoot factory Hornady LeverEvolution ammo.

Before I started working up a load, I’d try the Hornady ammo.

Marlin 336 with a 1-4x scope. No idea how it prints on paper. it dropped all the deer I used it on. leverevolution ammo is great.

With younger eyes I shot a cloverleaf in the bull at 100 yards using iron sights on a 1982 Winchester 94. Can’t recall the charge but it was Re7 pushing a 173 grain cast w/gas check.

LeverEvolution made my 1976 Marlin 30-30 a "minute of milk jug" gun at 300 yards.

I forgot to add about my optics. I used to have a Zeiss Conquest 3-9 on it, but it currently wears a Schmidt Bender 6x scope.

I have never had either one of those scope brands. How do you like them? How do they compare to vortex? I have only ever had vortex and Nikon.
