Don't know what ammo your rifle will like Tim but my old 336CS loved these....deer hated them.

Seems to me if you're not choosing .35 Remington loads for a 336CS then you're doing it wrong. Of course that's the Missouri boy in me talking. Need a good brush busting load when you're out in the Ozarks where there's always a damn twig to send the round off to who knows where.I recently picked up the Marlin 336 from a member here, I believed it made in 1982 and it has the JM mark on the barrel. I already installed a scope and need to go sight it in.
I am planning to use this rifle for deer hunting, and planning to shoot it at no more than 150 yards. I didn’t know there are quite a few of ammo options out there for 30-30, so please let me know what is your favorite choice of 30-30 ammo? I am looking for something that is accurate and lethal to get a deer down ethically. Thanks for reading.
