I have an Arisaka WWII relic rebarreled into the .300 Savage from an auction. That caliber has a tragic history for some reason. Its ballistics are equal to the .308 Rem using the same bullet, almost identical case dimensions but was rejected by the government when Remington "developed" the .308. Bought a box of factory 150 grain, sighted it in, and killed a couple deer with it. Safe queen now.
I'm sure money changed hands on that decision to go with the Remmington.
I don't reload for it, so hopefully someone will come along to get the brass.
