Whoever decided to come up with this idea needs to be flayed. I just spent the last hour and a half going through all my .45 brass sorting them out. I hope i got them all. :/

Supposed to be NT non toxic.
I actually did a test for my 45acp with these SPP cases...
Through a crony.
The SPP had less FPS variance than the large pistol primers.

Try for yourself..
Yes it sucks if you do not sort them.
You can also think like this... OH man i am out of large pistol primers!! and i need ammo for my 45.
OH wait!!! i have small pistol primers,,And that dang brass i was mad about.

I should add those were hand loads i tested.

This happened when the big primer shortage hit.. It was easier for them to stamp the cases with small primer pockets and use the stockpile of small primers than it was to gear up and produce small primers out of season. They do massive runs of each size at different times.

I wish all my .45 was SPP. Keeps me from having to change my primer setup over. The PITA is the mix of primers, you basically have to hand sort all your brass.

I hand sort all my brass anyway.
I found all brass brands group a little different.
So not only primer size but I sort by make also.
