So far that is the only downside, the only ammo that I like to run through it is Silver State Armory, they are only $15 a box if you buy them in bulk. They make some really really good ammo, and it is RELATIVELY cheap compared to some other 6.8.

But yes...expensive, and not easy to find, there is only one place around here I have found that carries it, and that is a gun shop up in Collinsville...quite a drive from BA so I just order online.

Do/can you reload? At $0.75 / round that would be a boatload of saving.

Yeah I plan on getting into reloading. I know it's expensive to start and I just don't have the free cash flow to get into it right now. Hopefully will be able to get into it in the next couple of years.

It's not as bad as you think. Drop $150 and you're good to go. You can save $150 in ammo pretty fast if you're paying $0.75 a round.

6.8 is the way to go. I REALLY wish the ammo would come down in price.
