Well I made my 1st straight razor out of ball bearing steel (52100) its a 7/8 straight razor made from .26 inch thick 52100 carbon steel. I got up enough nerve to shave with it, it worked, I do not have anything to compare with so not sure how well it worked. Handle is burlap micarta.

These are 9.5 inches, blades is cpm s35vn stainless steel, these are what I guess I would call belt finished knives, very little hand sanding as evident by the sanding lines. I one way sanded the blades with 320g to give the frosty look but that's it for hand sanding on these.

I have recently made several of these little knives in stainless, 52100 and Alabama Damascus, for some reason people love these mostly hunters. small and easy to carry and control and does the job. This one was etched in instant coffee for a night. gives it some extra black contrast on the blade.

Thanks all, I don't get to make as many knives as I use to for several reasons but the main reason is to hang out with wife, kids and grand kids, plus the regular 9-5, plus archery hunting, plus bow fishing, plus regular fishing etc...lol. I moved pretty much all my knife activity to my Facebook page s.potts custom knives. However Jan 9th I got the message my account was disabled. I filled out the form to dispute it a few times. I have never heard a peep from Facebook, heck I never even got a warning of any type, or any idea of what happened. Any way I guess I'm in limbo on getting them out to the public until I figure something out.

here are a couple more some of the Kitchen line up. 52100 ball bearing steel with burlap micarta, custom single knife stand made out of some walnut. It was this years Dirty Santa from me, my Mom ended up with it.

another 52100 with walnut scales, this one was for one of my adult kids so it got about 70% love...lol but it was the peace offering after my mom stole the previous one in the dirty Santa game...lol

then here is an experiment between one of my good friends and myself, we call it "Thor"s Cleaver" it came out about 3 lbs. made from .27" thick 52100 its a cleaver and ax... When I say collaboration I mean its his design I just made it. It was fun more of a novelty for me but he loves it it uses it every day. I wont make another one it wore me smooth out.
