Gosh. I haven't experienced a good hurricane since 1954. (In Massachusetts, no less.) Had to move to Oklahoma to possibly see another one.

You couldn't have picked a worse time to leave. This is the beginning of the seasonAs long as its all gone before the 16th, wife and I leave out of NOLA for a 7 day cruise. Do not want it canceled because of hurricanes.

They just change the itinerary if a hurricane is in the path of their ports of call.As long as its all gone before the 16th, wife and I leave out of NOLA for a 7 day cruise. Do not want it canceled because of hurricanes.
We always picked out Carib cruises for the same reason. Cheap rates, and they fight for your business. Unless it's the port your leaving from, there won't be a big issue with the storms. Its a risk, thats true, but also get better rates this time of the year.

There have been exceptions though.
Oklahoma does if a winter storm is predicted. Do you have a weather report for Pensacola? My sister lives in Pensacola and said they closed school there today.
Yep. Summertime cruises are almost 50% more expensive. And I don't think I would want to cruise during winter though I would like to take an Alaskan cruise at some point.
LOL I wonder whyIts a risk, thats true, but also get better rates this time of the year.
