Amazon? In town, your going to pay retail because they'll only be available new through an authorized dealer. If you want a discount, I'd go eBay first, then amazon. You can buy brand new sometimes up to 30% off MSRP from eBay, but there's the shipping game to deal with. See if they can offer some expedited type of shipping. If you want to buy in town, I don't know where you can go that wouldn't be MSRP.
Ebay has none. local citizen retailers have none, although I haven't checked the jewelers yet. Jomashop has some, but they'll supposedly take 3-5 weeks to ship. Amazon has none, aside from the old model, shipped from the UK. Its even better because the old model is a 33mm, and cheaper, but I am a bit concerned about ordering a last generation watch from overseas. I'm also a little concerned about the strap width, as its 15mm lug spacing. I can't say I have seen many straps in that size.

@coolhandluke I appreciate the other options, I forgot about microbrands for some reason. Def gives me more ideas to choose from and look over.

speaking of which, anyone have suggestions on good straps? My thought is that I'll buy her a watch, and several straps to choose from for outdoor activities and casual wear. Lots of questionable options on amazon, but I don't feel like rolling the dice. I know of Erica, but who else? They don't have to be fancy or expensive, just good quality.

Here's a 35mm Victorinox at Watchmaxx. It's a store display model if that matters to you.

36mm Tissot PR 100 at Watchmaxx, but estimated ship time is 4-8 weeks. You'd need to look elsewhere for something that ships immediately.

37mm Hamilton Khaki Navy Scuba also at Watchmaxx. This would be a great option, unless the $484 price tag is too high.

O ya. Forgot about the Scuba. That white one is sharp.

Hard to beat Barton watch bands for almost next day shipping at Amazon. I have a few and they are not near the quality of say Erika's, but price vs value, I think they are well worth. Ritchie's straps have done me well too.

That is definitely what I'd get. It's worth the extra $100 - $200. It would be a strap monster as well. Lots of options for 18mm lugs.

It's $467.99 on eBay, but you'd be paying sales tax. IIRC, Watchmaxx doesn't charge sales tax on their website. They'll also typically offer an extra $25.00 discount code if you contact them via chat or email.

Agreed sir. They have a 37mm quartz version of my white dial blue bezel version too that I'm going to get my wife for Christmas. She's all Apple Watch, but she makes little comments when I wear my 43mm Scuba about how "pretty" it is.

That all white version could rock anything strap wise.

I'm gonna be looking through these suggestions after typing this, but another thought: So I talked to her this evening, she wants no bigger than 36-37mm really, and likes the idea of black. I figure that Black womens's Citizen Promaster Diver would be perfect, and I like the versatile, timeless look.

I stumbled across Deep Blue.... I've always heard positive things about them, and that Thin Lizzie line seems to fit the bill and seems to check all the boxes, with a surprisingly low pricepoint? Thoughts? Are they worth a crap? I'm not finding many reviews at the moment. Asking for the gift, but honestly at the prices of the guys watches I may be asking for myself as well.
