They were all over Obamacare and thought it would be a cash cow with the organization. Well I would like to see the membership count now that Medicare lost 716 billion to Obamacare and the AARP endorsing Obamacare.

“While we respect the rights of each campaign to make its case to voters, AARP has never consented to the use of its name by any candidate or political campaign. AARP is a nonpartisan organization and we do not endorse political candidates nor coordinate with any candidate or political party. We remain focused on providing voters with balanced information on where candidates stand on the key issues, so they can make their own decisions on Election Day. For more information on where the candidates stand on premium support and other Medicare topics discussed tonight, see AARP’s Voters’ Guides.”

Here, but occasionally There.
While they might not like their name used with a campaign, they darn sure supported and promoted the Affordable Health Care Act because they are now more of an insurance company than they are advocates for the elderly.

I also cancelled my membership and went to Generations America.

Now, with AARP's "new" stance, I'm wondering if they have been catching hell and losing customers because of their past actions. While I still get their crappy mailings, none have begged my forgiveness and promised to be nice in the future.
