I think it’s around as high as the doorknob on the door for reference. I could measure it if it matters.
That is a 6.5 Italian carcano. It appears to be a carbine. A gun like it was used by Lee Harvey Oswald on JFK. The cacao load is lacking in ballistic performance of a 6.5x55 Swede, which in my opinion, falls just short of the 6.5 creedmore. Personally I have never shot a cacao. However, my Swede has taken numerous deer, varmints, and bullseyes out to over 200 yards. The Swede is capable of and has taken many elk and red stag, and moose. Yours is a very fine looking rifle.
