No Bongino makes videos to make money. Doesn’t have to be right, just get folks to click.
I rarely shoot groups, unless working up a load. I shoot an 8" 300 yard gong or 6" gong at 200, 100 & 50yards. Makes deer rib hits easy. Have never had deer know if I used a 2" group load or a 0.5" load.
.30-30, 7mag, or in between. Practice matters.
What we don't know:
How proficient was Routh?
The rifle? Routh knowledge of the rifle?
Had he ever fired it? When did he get it?
We know that is not a precision or long range rifle, but what did Routh know?
This whole "attempt" has cluster **** written all over it.

I'm not really a Bongino fan, like most right-wing podcasts it depends on the guests.
He happens to be right a majority of the time. You may want to consider giving him a try? You may realize others are more qualified than you and me to know what is going on in this on particular situation.

Just 3 mins in he had a commercial about weight loss. I like his perspective but not all of the infomercials.
