"Why did Adam Lanza kill those kids?" is a question on many, many lips. I suggest that the answer is quite simple--Adam Lanza is a terrorist! Terrorism, at its most basic level, seeks to instill a sense of fear, hence the root word "terror." Lanza understood that shooting innocent children, 6 and 7 years old, at point blank range, with an AR-15--gunning them down with multiple rounds as they clustered together in unimaginable horror--would strike fear into the heart of every parent with a child in school, every child who has to attend school, and, indeed, into the heart of every thinking individual who cares about the future of this country and the safety of its children. Make no mistake, Lanza is a terrorist, and he has succeeded far beyond his own feverish, twisted dreams. He has made America afraid!
