They have for many.

I witnessed an OHP motor officer riding alongside a car while on I-35 coming into OKC from Moore.

He looked at the driver and motioned for the driver to put down the cell phone then fell back in behind her.

:woohoo1:
Outstanding. Who knew that a police officer or Trooper in OK actually enforced that law. I could write citations for it all day long and it’s worse than ever.

There is a use for the short barrels, but most people do not have the use they are needed for. Or something like that.
I actually think more people have that use than not. If I have to use a firearm to defend my home, it's probably going to be at close ranges, and could likely involve navigating tight spaces, like the hallway outside my bedroom, where a braced mp5 clone is just going to be easier to manage than a 16-20" AR or 18"shotgun. Handgun would navigate it even easier of course, but the three points of contact and reduced recoil compared to a handgun make it easier to shoot well. I actually think the integrally suppressed MP5 would be a fantastic home defense gun if the government didn't make them such a pain to get ahold of.
Not near as big a fan of the short-barreled 5.56s though, even with double ear-pro they feel like they're rattling my fillings out.

That is what I thought years ago about Harley Davidson motorcycles.
There were more than 10:1 of those for sale in the papers or bike trader than the Japan bikes.

I thought it was because people got those Harleys and wanted to be cool and get chicks and it did not work out in their favor.
I know of a couple people that bought them for that reason.

Now I see a lot of 7" or other short barrel AR barrels or complete "Pistols" for sale.

Could it be the same issue. You thought it would be cool and then found it was all hype and decided something more sensible fit the bill?

I held a buddies SBR and just can't get into it.
I do not think he likes it either as he never takes it out to play.
So school me, what is the difference between an AR platform SBR and an AR platform pistol?

a 16 inch carbine is all I need for a truck gun. I care more about reliable terminal performance than I do about having a shorter louder gun that sacrifices performance for compactness. The only way I'd be interested in an SBR is if I had a supressor to go with it
Exactly and a sub sonic round to get the benefit from the suppressor.

That was what I was referring to room clearing. Funny because I have been wanting a coach gun for inside the house. Never really thought about short AR which would also be excellent choice for home also, Brain spasm on my part.
Makes perfect sense, but I always think of AR shorts as a professional use group gun, I own an AR with a 16", and I enjoy it for a lot of reasons, it is always handy, if you know what I mean. For me I still want a Coach, one reason I like guns, and I do not have a Coach Gun, I just need some coin or I would have one. Next deal though is I want 410, 20, and 12 gauge. I probably need a quad barrel coach, 410 on top, 20 on bottom, two 12's side by side, I wonder if one exists? I bet it would be impressive to blast all barrels in one pull in the dark. Then the versatility of shot options.

Yea that is me and that is my wife taking the video on her camera and then my son posted it on his youtube.
No need to subscribe as I do not think he is into any of that.
I do not have a youtube and do not have a cell phone. Never did have a cell phone.

I do like to keep it simple and old school if i can but recently the entire neighborhood was forced to upgrade to ATT fiber and when it happened i could not get into my Yahoo E mail.
Still No e mail after a month and nothing Yahoo can do to get me in and they can't even get into it.

I may be forced to get a cell phone so i can get a new e mail.

I have heard of Gooch but not Blue Oval.
I usually keep to myself and friends though as I do not show my cars. I just like to drive them and use them. now and then a few buddies get together, go to the track for grudge night test and tune and see who is quicker :)
Awesome
