advice on removing factory flash hider on ar-15

Reaction rod. I don’t clamp mine anymore. Torques against the barrel lugs. If your local to OKC your welcome to use mine.
While I think a reaction rod is a great tool, i still prefer to clamp the barrel for muzzle brake removal work.
Once you spin the barrel extension and shear the pin it kinda sucks.

Never had an issue. Works every time. Hooks on the bolt lugs so no pressure on the pin or the castings.

good advice in this thread - i never thought about the possibility of putting enough torque on the thing to goof up the gas tube or unclock the barrel but now i know
