[QUOTE="Glocktogo, post: 3951166, member: 1132"] IIRC, somewhere early on in this debacle it was disclosed that she wasn’t their first choice to be the armorer on the production. I think they said the Rust Production Co. wouldn’t pay enough so other available armorers passed. Because Gutierrez-Reed is young and inexperienced, she took the job at the low salary. Then once she got on set, they made her be both the armorer AND the assistant prop manager. Between the low pay, inexperienced staff, short staffing, lack of controls on both the set and the props etc., the stage was set for a catastrophic failure. Add in Baldwin’s legendary narcissism and arrogance, someone getting hurt or killed was all but inevitable. Because of the totality of the circumstances, there won’t be any justice for Halyna Hutchins unless Baldwin goes to prison. Likewise, there won’t be any real changes with the Screen Actors Guild or Hollywood regarding firearms and set safety either. Gutierrez-Reed isn’t high enough on the food chain to make the industry sit up and pay attention.
