Almost got the prescribed burn done.

Got it lit off for a backfire along the edge of the dry creek bottom, against the wind, when it started raining. Not a hard rain, but enough to get every thing wet. Maybe in a couple of days, if the wind is right.

Burn is for habitat improvement in a CRP plot.

Looks good to me. I sprayed everything today. I hope to see a bunch of dying henbit and other broadleafs tomorrow.

I started my prescribed burn last weekend and got half of the property burned. It hadn't been burned in at least 15 years, so there was a lot of fuel. Murphy was definitely in attendance and we had plenty of problems with equipment!! I hope to get the rest burned in the next couple of weeks.
