Nope.

The dude with the great soul voice from Mississippi did.
I had him picked from his first audition.

Good. I think he works best for a Vegas type show. Between the two operatic voices, the dude in the make up was really better.... but couldn't stand the makeup. The little girl was amazing for a little girl but if you listen with a critical ear....she's not there yet. (happen to have quite a bit of experience and training there. Singer myself.)

The Gravity guys were cool but almost as "gimicky" as the make up guy.

I'm still pissed about Hannibal not winning.

The winner, Michael Grimm, was the best choice this year.

Jackie Evancho has a beautiful voice, but at 10 years old she has too many other things to be doing now and being a kid is one of them. She was also a bit "rehearsed" in her responses and you could tell she was under a lot of coaching pressure. Kids should be kids. Like Bianca Ryan she wouldn’t go anywhere at this time.

Prince Poppycock is a great talent. You may not like his orientation, but that has nothing to do with talent. Good voice, creative, and fun. He'll get a spot at a place like the Venetian, but to sustain a 90 minute show?? It would be too much like Cher - just costume changes.

Fighting Gravity has a good platform, but they are not acrobats or dances and need a lot of work to bring on the professional edge. I suspect many of them will go back to school before long and the “team” will hire some professionals to fill their places.

It is interesting that often the contestants are better than the guest stars. I would have buzzed most of the guest star performances.

We didn’t have a Terry Fator this year. His 100 million dollar 5 year Las Vegas contract with the option to go another 5 years for 110 million speaks for itself. He’s a good guy and always recognizes the military at his show. If you have a chance to see him live do it, otherwise check out the DVD.
