Welcome aboard, Tom. But to be honest, you may not be alone.
The wife saw an image on Farcebook today of a woman wearing a T-shirt that had "Guns don't kill, Hate does." That made me remember that there is one political party that always seems to be pitting one segment of America's population against other segments, whether that be race, ethnicity, economic status, etc. That "pitting against" certainly can lead to distrust, dislike, and perhaps even on to hatred of others.
However, and Oklahoma is full of these people, I think most Democrats in Oklahoma are already conservative, even if they don't realize it at the time. Oklahoma's voter rolls may still be close to 50 percent Democratic Party registration, but the majority still tend to vote for Republicans in national elections.
Thus, while you haven't been aware of it, your basic beliefs still help define you as conservative.

Just making sure we give them all the legs up we can
when that difference is further infringement, every time they get involved, saving your money for ammo or booze is a wiser choice.While I don't agree with the NRA's recent stance on bumpfire, they are the only organization with enough political clout to make much of a difference at this point.
We can always agree to disagree.
