I guess I've been out of the business for a while(10+ years).

The materials has gone up quite a bit. 10-12 years ago, I could buy quality materials to do a complete paint job for $400-$600, I just bought materials to paint my 69 chevy and spent $1100 on base paint, basemaker, sealer, clear and hardener.

I actually had some minor damage to a vehicle once and took it to a dealer for an estimate. One of the guys there pulled me to the side and gave me the number of somebody their used car dealership used. They actually sent work to this guy because he was cheaper than using their own body shop.

Long story short, I've used him several times and have given him several referrals. I have not been disappointed yet. He has a shop right next to his house in Norman. He is usually backed up but does good work for half the price of the dealership if you can wait. I don't want to advertise his number on the internet without his consent but if you shoot me an email, I'll get it to you.
