Any of you guys here swage bullets? What are your processes? What are some of your tips and tricks that you pick up over the years?
I swage .458 bullets out of annealed .45acp brass and .40 caliber bullets that look like XTP's from 9mm brass or copper jackets when I can find them. A RCBS Rockchucker will do the job. Swage dies are fairly expensive. I bought mine from BTSniper on the CastBoolits forum. He has many calibers and has kits to get all you need. Pure lead works best but wheel weight lead will work.
I haven’t, but recall seeing lots of articles about it 10-15 years ago when components were hard to find. I remember seeing spent 22lr cases used to make .223 bullets.
