Guys,
My brother is getting laid off after 19 years on the job with Montgomery Aviation out in Alabama. He is looking to move to Oklahoma with his family to be closer to us and our family in New Mexico.

He has been in the ANG and Air force with a combined service of 32 years and in a few weeks he will be getting his Instructor Certification for A&P.

He is building his extensive resume as I type and will be out here in Oklahoma the first of the year looking at some prospects. He also has his Secret clearance.

His wife is a Nurse Practitioner and will be following him out here as soon as he finds work. Any help or people or leads that we can talk to would be greatly appreciated.

Only thing I can think of as far as A&P instructor certification, at least in my neck of the woods, would be Tulsa Tech Center (they have aviation classes), and Spartan School of Aeronautics, which is just a notch below Embrey Riddle, although their A & P program is regarded as one of the finest in the country, if not the world. There may be something closer to you in the OKC metro, but I'm not familiar enough with it unless he can find some kind of work near Tinker.

They may hire for management positions(like they are needed there); but they don't give a crap about the common workers. Mechanics with 15+ years are at the bottom rung. If you have a second job, family issues or are a single parent and can't work certain days or hours, too bad, even if you are a vet, go elsewhere. Not a good place anymore, even for management.

I'm going to miss you my brother. I'm envious that you are leaving this hellhole.
I wish you best in the future.
