I have my dad's old Marine Corps field jacket and it was made in South Korea even way back then surprisingly.
I’ll trade it for a Glock lolI am sure today it would be $800 or a lot more, when i was in SantaFe 21 years ago i went to a flea market near the town, there was a foreign made sheep skin coat asking price was $1,200 dollars.
When i bought mine in around 1978 i paid $300 for it.
You'll have to show me that. I'm perusing Filson right now looking for this thing. It's $1,200 today from Filson.
That is good to know that they are making it in the USA, only i noticed from looking at the material from what i see they are using imported sheep skin that have been kept away from any outside barb wire or anything the would touch it, look at the back and sleeve of my Lake Land Coat notice the color and the small barb wire marks. this sheep was an outdoor wild sheep. Not all... There are a few makers in the US. But the products are north of $2500...
This little company makes stuff in Alma, CO...elevation ~ 10,400'. I've been to her shop when it was in Breckenridge. One-woman shop and she custom makes almost everything. Reasonable prices, too.

Very nice i sure could have used that pair a while back, had the price increased since you bought yours?Mine is about 12 years old.... definitely not old compared to what's been posted, but definitely a good option for someone if they want something nice. I have this Wild Things USMC issued jacket, and the matching pants. Warmest item of clothing I own by far, why we were getting them issued to us to go to southern afghanistan is beyond me, I was wearing sweat pants and a hoodie to go outside and smoke shortly before leaving, because it was getting down to 80 degrees at night... It still looks brand new, and I have worn it quite a bit. Worth the investment in my book. 100% made in America too. Theyre sized to fit over body armor if I remember right, so my medium-long actually fits like an XL.

That is good information it's good to know some are using natural material and all found in the USA.The other website (from CO) has a disclaimer that there may be marks on their sheepskins as this is natural. A lot cheaper, too, and her products are handmade with sheepskins from the Rocky Mountain states. Just might be a little wait.
